John and Marsha Glover are a husband and wife team that specializes in portable toilet rentals, and commercial and residential septic pumping service in the Washington, DC Metropolitan and Baltimore Corridor.  The company is a certified Minority Business and Disadvantaged Enterprise (MBE/DBE) through the Metropolitan Department of Transportation (MDOT), through the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) and the Washington Metropolitan Transit Authorities (WMATA).

Glover’s Septic Services, Inc. was established in 2006 by John and Marsha Glover. “Starting our business from the ground up, we knew we had our hands full! In our line of work, a lot of our competitors are companies that were passed down from generation to generation.  To start our business from scratch with no family involvement was a serious challenge, and we’ve done well,” states Mrs. Glover.

Glover’s Septic Services, Inc is dedicated to offering quality work and outstanding customer service. "We stayed afloat during the economic recession because of the type of work that we do.” Mr. Glover states. “We are not a luxury company, we are actually a necessity."

Together, John and Marsha Glover began as a small septic and portable toilet company, starting out with one truck and eight toilets.  “Now we are seven trucks strong and we have a large inventory of potty’s and other portable restroom equipment. With dedication, hard work and long hours we’ve made our company successful offering both small and large contracts," the couple states.

How is it working with your spouse?

"We are a tight-knit family," he states.  "She controls the administrative and  I control operations.  “I have to admit, it is pretty nice working with your spouse!" she adds.

Glover’s Septic Services, Inc. also pumps out residential and commercial septic tanks. A septic tank is typically underground, in which sewage is collected and allowed to decompose through bacterial activity before draining by means of a leaching field. Some homeowners have their very own personal wastewater treatment plant. “For all of those homeowners, we recommend contacting your environmental health department to inquire how often you should get your septic pumped. We highly recommend not putting any trash in a septic system.  Most homeowners feel the septic is out of sight, out of mind. But when it backs up into your basement or tub… that is an experience they’ll never forget!”

Today, the biggest part of Glover’s Septic Services, Inc is providing portable toilet rentals and services, sewage holding tanks, non-portable freshwater tanks and other portable restroom equipment for construction sites, weekend events and other events that require portable restrooms.
